Financial Controller

                                                               

Department:      Finance

POSITION PURPOSE:

Provide financial control for all operational activities, including report generation, analysis and database management, representing the company whenever called upon for financial activities. The Controller position is responsible for directing the organization's accounting functions and leads the accounting team to integrate, improve and implement enhanced business processes.  These functions include establishing and maintaining the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. Prepares periodic financial reports, maintenance of effective accounting systems and records, maintains internal controls and prepares budgets and forecasting designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, ensures the results comply with GAAP, and presents findings and recommendations to top management.

 

 

Description

 Main Responsibilities and Duties:

-develop and present timely and accurate reports, detailing financial performance of operations, to senior management in a manner/format that identifies all key/requested information.

-provide constant analysis of operational performance, advising management as to actions required to address areas where improvement is necessary/desired, and providing lucid explanations of results, variances etc.  Develop and analyze forecasts for future month’s performance.

-manage, monitor and record any pertinent measures that are allocated or established for the finance department as part of the Management Review process and develop Improvement Action Plans, as necessary, for an deficient or failing area(s).

-provide timely and accurate reports to departmental heads, detailing departmental expenditure/performance and provide analysis of such reports, identifying opportunities for improvement.

-ensure that operation is in full compliance with Internal Control Procedures, developing and implementing associated control procedures to compliment ICP policies.

-maintain integrity of database, continually reviewing for accuracy of information.

-responsible for coordination and development of annual budget, three year plans for division, and for presentation of such plans in timely, accurate and professional manner.

 

-ensure accuracy and confidentially of payroll.

 

-supervise activities of finance/accounting department operatives, ensuring accuracy of all their activities, while providing opportunity for training, education and growth.

-coordinate system for regular/adequate recording of physical inventory and analyze variances, providing comprehensive explanations for such adjustments.

 

Minimum Requirements :

Skills:

Ability to present, verbally and in writing, data, information, reports etc. to management, clients and employees.

Ability to use PC, and exhibit good mathematical skills.

Ability to read and interpret documents, policies, etc.

Ability to analyze reports and provide clear, concise analysis of contents.

Ability to manage time, prioritize and supervise activities of department operatives.

 

Education:

Four (4) year degree in accounting related course from approved college/university

Experience & Training:

 Four (4) years’ experience in accounting/controller position, preferably in a Global manufacturing setting.

 

 

PLUMBING ENGINEER
We are currently seeking a Plumbing Engineer for our client’s Brookfield or Madison office to provide coordination and design of plumbing systems and fire protection from inception through completion. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Design/ layout engineering drawings within Plumbing specialty using AutoCAD, Revit a plus.
  • Complete Plumbing calculations including water supply, storm, and equipment sizes.
  • Design Plumbing systems including sanitary waste, vent, storm, domestic water distribution systems, and purified water systems.
  • Design medical gas systems, compressed air, vacuum, and natural gas systems.
  • Design, select, schedule, size and specify basic Plumbing system components to include plumbing fixtures, drains, and equipment.
  • Design and select fire protection systems and equipment.
  • Organize and manage plumbing design efforts for significant, multiple, simultaneous projects in either single or multiple disciplinary environments.
  • Develop and maintain plumbing project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings for plumbing project team.
  • Edit and coordinate production of plumbing specification sections.
  • Perform and/or coordinate the review of shop drawing submittals and posts modifications as needed
  • Ensure the level of quality for each project meets the standards established by the client and the company.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in related field and have a minimum of 10 years’ experience designing plumbing and fire protection for institutional, industrial, healthcare, and commercial facilities. Wisconsin PE registration preferred, or eligibility for Wisconsin PE registration. Ability to obtain multi-state PE registration is desired. Position requires a motivated self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills. Familiarity with Department of Commerce Codes, Uniform Building Codes, International Building Codes, NFPA, and ASPE standards is a plus. Working knowledge of a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks, programs also a plus. Experience working within Revit a plus.

SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER -HVAC
Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the A/E/C industry, with particular experience in healthcare.

Must be able to:

  • Design and layout engineering drawings within HVAC specialty
  • Design HVAC systems including steam, hot water, warm air heating, chilled water and DX cooling
  • Design, select, schedule, size and specify HVAC system components to include air terminals, air distribution, air handling, refrigeration, piping, ductwork and accessories
  • Knowledgeable in consulting and construction practices to include plan/specifications, design/build and construction manager roles and responsibilities
  • Understand and apply state, local and model codes as related to buildings and HVAC design
  • Work to meet design schedules and complete tasks on budget
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment

A qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a related field with at least 10 years’ experience designing healthcare facilities including Hospitals, Emergency Rooms, Outpatient facilities, Wellness Centers, Clean Rooms, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Research Laboratories, etc. This position requires a motivated self-starter with excellent organization and communication skills who is proficient in AutoCAD. Willingness to coach and mentor entry and mid-level staff is required. Familiarity with Department of Commerce Code, International Building Codes, Wisconsin Department of Health Services requirements, and ASHRAE standards a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, TRACE Trane load programs also a plus. Ability to obtain multi-state PE registration is desired. This individual will be located at our client’s Brookfield, WI office.
